Are there membership fees?
To help us provide farm tours, educational programs, and to help us with our overhead costs, we ask that you pay an annual fee of $25 per household for one calendar year. You are welcome to try us for two orders before officially becoming members.
Will I have to buy vegetables I don't want?
Shopping at Heirloom Living Market gives you the selection of a traditional Farmers’ Market from the comfort of your home! You can browse the available products and order what you want, in the quantities that you want, from the farms that you want. You will receive a weekly email telling you about new products, featured products of the week, Group Buy opportunities that are available or are coming available. The email will also include a link to the Heirloom Living Market Crossfit O-Zone so you can shop immediately!
Some people prefer to purchase a variety of veggies and those choices will be available. In addition, Doug’s Garden in Lilburn is making Produce Boxes (6 – 8 lbs) available and the selection will change with the seasons and with what is available to harvest on any given Tuesday, which is our Harvest Day! You will have the ability to view the Veggies included in the Produce Box for that week on the Market Page of this website.
How do I order?
Each Friday morning, the opening email is sent to all of our registered customers by e-mail. The Newsletter, “Bits and Bites” will arrive on Saturday morning and contains information about Weekly Specials, new offerings by the Farmers, Educational Class information, links to articles about the Local Food Movement, links to recipes and a link to shop at the Market.
Customers must place their order for the week no later than Sunday at 6:00 p.m. Orders can be placed here on our website. Ordering through this web site is our preferred method as it is designed to reduce the amount of time it takes us to process orders as well as provide you with detailed information about our products.
When do I pay?
We accept cash, checks, credit or debit cards when you pick up your order. We are charged 3% for any credit or debit card transactions and if you choose to use these methods of payment we must add 3% to your total.
Because we may have to adjust your total at Market Pickup,(to account for extra items you decide to purchase from the Farmers’ Sale Table at Market Pickup or items that were unexpectedly unavailable), we do not accept advance payment on the website.
When and Where do I pick up my order?
Heirloom Living Market ~ Crossfit O-Zone pickup day is Thursday from 2:30pm – 5:30pm. We are located at a private residence.
1385 Winder Highway
Dacula, GA 30019
There will be a sign under the mailbox that says: “CFOZ MARKET”. From 316, the driveway is almost at the bottom of the second hill, on your left. If you get to Cedars Rd., you have gone too far!
Why Support Locally Grown?
Enhance your local economy: By purchasing produce and other items from local growers you are providing stability to your local economy through the support of local businesses.
Save natural resources: Buying locally makes you an invaluable link in the process of saving resources such as fossil fuels and packaging materials. Also, we are right here in your community so the expense of transportation and delivery is kept to a minimum.
Provide learning opportunities: Locally Grown supporters provide member growers the means to help educate our community about the importance of sustainable agriculture.
Supporting a way of life: The number of small farms in the United States has decreased dramatically in the last decade. Please help us preserve an honest and worthy means of making a living.
We believe that small, diverse, family-owned farms contribute to society’s overall health.
How can I sell through this market?
If you’ve already created a customer account here, simply go to Our Growers and click on ‘If you would like to sell through this market, pleas tell us about yourself and a market manager will contact you.’. This will add you to our system and our market managers will contact you with the next step. We do charge a 10% fee of your overall sales.
Like at a traditional farmers’ market, you do get to set your own prices and list your items as you wish. Contact email@example.com if you want more information.
Does Heirloom Living Market have more than one location?
Yes! At the present time, we have 3 Markets each with a different pickup location. Each Market is an entity unto itself. Please note that once you are a Member of any Market, you will not be charged an additional Membership Fee if you decide that another location works better for you. You will be required to register at the other Market and you may use the same User Name and Password.
