Greetings Market Folks!

This is unusual, I know – but, I wanted to let you know that Blackberries were priced at $7.00 this past week and it should have been $6.00! This is the last week for these luscious, huge berries grown by Dabrielle and Bruce of My Daily Bread!

If you would like to order, email Maryanne by Market close at 6:00pm today! They will be added to your ordered and ready to pick up tomorrow!

That’s all for now — hope you all are having a great Monday!

See you at Market tomorrow!

It is great for pets with stomach issues, also! To keep The Black Lab, healthy, he enjoys some everyday!

… this and that …

The Summer Harvest is in ‘full swing’! We are certainly ‘eating with the Season’ this Summer. Last year, Tomatoes were sparse and I did not have the opportunity to preserve any for the Fall and Winter months. This year, I look forward to canning Tomatoes and Green Beans; freezing and dehydrating Blackberries, Blueberries and hopefully some Raspberries later in the season. What are you preserving from the Summer Harvest to enjoy later?

I wish you all a happy day and a wonderful week!

… this and that …

When you ‘shop the Market’, it is similar to strolling through a Traditional Farmers’ Market in that you are ordering your items directly from the Farmer/Grower/Producer. There have been a couple of instances recently of people being unhappy with the product they received. As the Market Manager, I want to ensure that everyone is happy with the quality of the products and I am happy to help if there is an issue. However, since the purchase is directly from the Farmer, it is necessary for you to email or call the Farmer with your concern. You can click the Grower Tab at the top of the page and get the Farmer contact information by viewing the individual detail. Please email the Farmer and copy me, or call the Farmer and let me know, so that I am ‘in the loop’. Our Farmers work hard to bring you ‘the best of the best’ and they want to know if something is less than expected. Refunds and/or replacements are at the discretion of the Farmer.

Sometimes items are ordered from one Farmer and when I run the final reports, I see that an item has been canceled. In an effort to ensure that you get what you are expecting, I will check with another Farmer to see if they have the same item. I then ‘order’ the item for you and you are given the option at Market pickup to ‘replace’ the original item with the same or similar item from another Farmer. This is not a typical ‘service’ of any other Locally Grown Market, but is done in an effort to make sure you are not ‘left in a lurch’ in not getting what you have ordered. It is not always possible to replace items, but please know that I do my best.

After Church, The Black Lab and I will be spending some time in the Garden and mowing the yard. The cooler weather these last few days has certainly been a blessing! I hope that you all enjoyed time with family and friends over this 4th of July Holiday weekend! I certainly did!

I wish you all a happy day and a wonderful week!
